The Institute of African Studies at Yonsei University hosted an academic seminar titled “U.S.–China Strategic Competition and Development Cooperation in Africa.”
The seminar was organized to examine the evolving structure of U.S.–China strategic competition and its implications for development cooperation in Africa.

The program consisted of Session 1, Session 2, and a general discussion. Experts in African politics, diplomacy, and development cooperation delivered in-depth presentations during the sessions. The subsequent general discussion fostered active debate on how U.S.–China competition shapes policy choices and development strategies across African countries.

This seminar served as a meaningful platform for scholarly exchange, offering critical insights into Africa’s development cooperation within a changing global order.
